Energy consumption accounts for the largest climate impact in constructed buildings, but the potential for efficiency improvements is significant – both in terms of cost and environmental benefits. That is why energy efficiency is a priority for us.
In our existing properties, we focus on operational optimization and system fine-tuning. Heating and electricity represent the largest operational costs, meaning that optimized energy use enhances both environmental performance and financial efficiency – for us and our tenants.
Our goal is to monitor energy consumption in all properties, regardless of who is responsible for the utility contracts. Even when tenants manage their own subscriptions, we see value in supporting them with monitoring and suggesting measures for more efficient energy use.
In project development, there are great opportunities to create a sustainable and efficient energy supply. The building’s function, characteristics, and local conditions determine the best solution.
In our properties, we use solutions such as geothermal heating, solar panels, and energy trees. When refrigeration and freezing systems are present, waste heat can often be recovered to improve energy
