Third-party logistics company Nowaste Logistics has signed a lease with Catena for a second logistics facility that is currently under construction at Logistics Position Ramlösa in Helsingborg, southern Sweden.

Nowaste Logistics and Catena won the land allocation for the Vevaxeln 1 and Vipparmen 1 properties following a contest run by the City of Helsingborg in 2021. The resulting project includes three new logistics facilities totalling approximately 75,000 m² in area. A letter of intent has been in place with Nowaste Logistics from the outset regarding the lease of space at the location. One building of 17,000 m² has already been completed where Nowaste Logistics is a tenant. Construction is under way on a further building of 42,000 m² with a high-bay storage section, and a lease has now been signed for approximately 21,000 m² of this building. The new agreement with Nowaste Logistics will run for 6.5 years from 1 March 2026. Nowaste Logistics will be handling goods flows for Nestlé and other customers at the facility.
This second building will be certified according to BREEAM Excellent and Sweden Green Building Council NollCO2. Creating attractive workplaces, ensuring innovative solutions in areas such as energy and promoting biodiversity to the greatest extent possible through well-planned green spaces – these are all key considerations for both Catena and Nowaste Logistics.
“Throughout the project, both Catena and Nowaste have focused on ensuring that the location develops sustainably, can be used efficiently and is designed in an aesthetically pleasing way. Looking at the area as it gradually evolves, it is clear that we’re living up to those expectations,” says Göran Jönsson, Senior Advisor at Catena.
“We are delighted to welcome employees and new customers to a modern logistics hub that is at the very leading edge in terms of sustainability, work environment and technology,” says Johan Kallin, CEO of Nowaste Logistics.
Logistics Position Ramlösa was named Logistics Establishment of the Year 2023 by Intelligent Logistik, a distinction shared between Catena, Nowaste Logistics and the City of Helsingborg. Helsingborg has long been a recognised region for logistics, with excellent transport links and proximity to population centres in the Öresund Region and the rest of Europe. The designated land area totals approximately 154,000 m² along the E6 highway near Ramlösa in Helsingborg and is regarded as one of the best locations in the region. Not far from Logistics Position Ramlösa is Catena’s Logistics Position Tostarp, where Nowaste Logistics is the largest tenant with operations at three facilities.
