Over 71 percent of Catena's property portfolio meets EU taxonomy requirements
At the end of 2024, over 71 percent of Catena's property portfolio met the EU taxonomy requirements. Through investments in energy efficiency and climate risk analyses, we strive to combine sustainability with long-term profitability.
The EU taxonomy is a framework for sustainable finance aimed at classifying which economic activities are environmentally sustainable. By establishing common criteria, it facilitates comparisons of investment sustainability and helps prevent greenwashing.
For a building to be classified as green under the EU taxonomy, it must have an energy rating of A or be among the top 15 percent most energy-efficient properties according to the guidelines of Fastighetsägarna (the Swedish Property Federation). Additionally, a climate risk analysis must be conducted, and the entire company’s operations must comply with social minimum safeguards.
